PHOTONIC AND TELUS PARTNER, DEMONSTRATE WORLD-FIRST QUANTUM TELEPORTATION OF ITS KIND
Event

4th Annual Commercialising Quantum Global 2025

May 13, 2025 - May 14, 2025
London, UK

Stephanie Simmons was a panelist at the Economist Impact’s Commercialising Quantum Global conference.

In its fourth year, Commercialising Quantum Global returned to London to help organisations harness the potential of one of the world’s most powerful emerging technologies. At this premier event, essential conversations took center stage—exploring how organisations can prepare for and implement quantum technology.

Stephanie Simmons, co-founder and Chief Quantum Officer of Photonic, was a panelist on May 13th, 2025, in a session titled “Quality and Quantity: What Makes a Great Qubit, and Can We Do More with Less?”

The panel explored questions such as:

It’s not always about the number of qubits—sometimes quality is key. Which applications benefit most from high-fidelity, low-error qubits? How can improvements in coherence and error correction drive quantum progress without requiring a massive increase in qubit count? And what practical gains could come from prioritising quality over quantity when building efficient quantum systems?
