Stephanie Simmons, co-founder and Chief Quantum Officer of Photonic, is an invited panelist on an upcoming episode of Physics World Live. The panel will discuss advances in quantum physics that are driving technological developments and creating a whole new ecosystem of “quantum 2.0” businesses, ventures that harness quantum phenomena such as entanglement and superposition.
To mark the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, this Physics World Live event will also explore how these technological advances are working in reverse: enabling physicists to perform previously impossible experiments that could lead to breakthroughs in the fundamentals of quantum theory.
Panelists
Stephanie Simmons, Chief Quantum Officer at Photonic and co-chair of Canada’s Quantum Advisory Council
Artur Ekert, professor of quantum physics and cryptography at the University of Oxford
Elise Crull, associate professor of philosophy, City College of New York
